The Madison Lions Club has become the new sponsor of Madison Springfest! The Lions would like to thank founder Jenny Fink and her faithful volunteers with entrusting them as the event managers. Many have remained to volunteer again this year. The event will take place at Madison Jr.-Sr. High School on May 9th from 11 am to 8 pm, with a special Pancake Breakfast served by the Lions Club at 10 am.
Springfest Schedule (performance times are approximate):
- 10:00 am – Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast
- 11:00 am – Opening ceremonies and Awards Presentation
- 11:20 am – Madison Jr.-Sr. High Steel Band performs
- 12:00 pm – Madison Jr.-Sr. High Jazz Band performs
- 12:30 pm – Stamper Road, all juniors at Madison, performs
- 12:00 – 6:00 – Kids’ area open, with giant inflatables and carnival games
- 6:00 pm – Basket Raffle closes
- 6:30 pm – Drawing for Baskets
- 8:00 pm – Springfest closes
This year there will be a number of bands performing on the outdoor stage at Springfest. Our traditional kick-off will be the Madison Jr.-Sr. High Steel Band and Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Shawn Lenney. Also performing throughout the day will be Adrienne Rose, Larry and the Lobsters, and Stamper Road.
A highlight of every year’s Springfest is the Basket Raffle. Hundreds of items and gift certificates are donated by dozens of businesses and individuals in the area, and you choose which items you want to try to win. You can purchase tickets and deposit them in the boxes of your choice until 6:00 pm, and the raffle will start at 6:30. Continue reading
The giant inflatables are free to enjoy at Springfest, and kids pay $7 for a wristband entitling them to two prizes from the prize table, and carnival games all day. Continue reading
